For nature lovers there are many outdoor activities including four 18-hole golf courses for aspiring Master’s winners, as well as biking on country roads, hiking on parts of the Appalachian Trail, horseback riding at a local “ranch,” and walking tours of many of the small historical towns nearby

For the music and art aficionados, there are several venues offering quality summer productions including the Dorset Playhouse, Marlboro Music Festival, Weston Playhouse, Wilmington Center for the Performing Arts, and the Manchester Music Festival.
Explore nearby golfing opportunities at Mount Snow Country Club (West Dover), Stratton Mountain Golf Club (Stratton), Haystack Golf Club (Wilmington), and Mt. Anthony Country Club (Bennington).
For history buffs we offer a number of local museums such as Hildene (summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln), the Bennington Museum and Grandma Moses Gallery, Bennington Art Center, and the Covered Bridge Trio. Many of the state’s historical sites are within an easy drive.
And finally, for the “Shop ‘Til you Drop” group there is unending shopping at the Premium Outlets in nearby Manchester, and a number of gift shops and galleries in the surrounding towns. For those who love the “old bargain” there are many antique shops within a 25-mile radius.
